Hello, and welcome to Checking for Ticks.
It's one of the first lessons of life in the country. Beware the bloodthirsty little suckers that latch on and bring all kinds of trouble. If I even glance at a patch of grass, I examine myself (and my dogs) like a suspicious customs officer. In the same spirit, I'll be quietly combing the globe for acts of deception in finance, art, and cultural heritage property.
